Yoga for Anti-Aging

Who doesn't want to turn back the clock? Well yoga can help us to do exactly that! Yoga has so many benefits for our bodies, minds and spirits - many of which have the ability to be anti-aging too. 

Yoga:

🔸Builds strength in our bones and muscles. As we age we become prone to muscle loss and osteoporosis. Yoga practice is proven to provide sufficient weight bearing to increase our bone density and strengthen our skeletal muscles.

🔸Improves flexibility, mobility and balance. Due to yoga's ability to open and lengthen the muscles, fascia and joints, we retain the ability to move through a larger range of motion. This decreases the risk of injuries so we can retain our quality of life . If we rest, we'll rust.

🔸 Reduces stress and calms the mind. In a wide range of studies, chronic stress has been shown to accelerate aging and shorten our DNA telomeres. Yoga allows us to activate our parasympathetic nervous system. This is the state in which our body has the ability to repair and restore itself. Learning how to activate this function of our nervous system is an important hack when it comes to anti-aging... especially in today's modern world. 

When you feel happy, peaceful, kind and your body moves the way it is supposed to, there are no limits to what you can achieve.
